The Bride
Alexandra grew up in Denton, Texas, where her love for music, sports, and coffee took root. After playing college basketball in Nebraska, she moved to the Dallas area. She attended law school in Dallas and currently works as a civil rights attorney, making coffee a daily necessity.
Most of her free time is spent doing pilates or lifting weights, playing basketball with Ubong, exploring Dallas, crafting, playing video games, reading, writing poetry and short stories, playing violin, or attending concerts. When she’s not on an adventure, she’s at home with her dog, Mila, her two cats, Isla and Marmalade.
Ubong would describe her as witty, eclectic, and empathetic.
Her favorite quote is, “You can never be overdressed or overeducated.” -Oscar Wilde.
The Groom
Ubong was born in Nigeria and moved to the United Kingdom at the age of 1. His family then immigrated to the United States when he was 5.
He moved around with his family from New York, New Jersey, and eventually settled down in Tennessee. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in Aerospace Engineering. He then earned his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Ubong secured his first engineering job in California, which served as the first chapter in a series of events that ultimately led him to Dallas where he met Alexandra—the love of his life.
In his free time, whether it is on a basketball court or over a board game, Ubong loves to compete. He enjoys reading manga and watching anime, as well as playing video games.
Alexandra would describe him as intelligent, competitive, and mindful.
His favorite quote is, “Take what is useful, discard what is not, add what is specifically your own” -Bruce Lee.
